Also in double-figure scoring for Tulsa was Latavious Williams with 19 and Robert Vaden with 13. Ryan Reid led the 66ers with 10 rebounds.
The 66ers trailed the entire contest before recording a 13-3 run midway through the fourth quarter to take a 90-84 lead. With the game tied 92-92 with 2:45 remaining in the fourth, Tulsa used an 8-3 spurt to seal the victory. With the win, the 66ers remain in first place in the Western Conference.
Defensively, Tulsa forced 20 New Mexico turnovers and collected nine steals, including a team-high four from Elijah Millsap, to earn its seventh consecutive road victory.
The Thunderbirds were led offensively by Dar Tucker with 27 points. Shane Edwards posted a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.
